Family

is not an important thing. It's everything.

Love your Self

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

Precious

You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.

Goals

“Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.”

Motivation

“Strive for progress, not perfection.”

Easter Sunday/Tamesis Grand Family Reunion

Tamesis Grand Family Reunion

Held last April 21,2019 in Majada,Calamba. Family reunion is an occasion when many members of an extended family get together and reconnect. Reunions are held annually every Easter Sunday. A family reunion will assemble grandparents, great-grandparents, fun games and recreation, discussion and many stories to tell and many foods and snacks to eat.

This weekend was filled with drama, laughing, crying, eating, drinking, playing games, yelling, screaming, hugs, kisses, and more drama but I would not have wanted my weekend any other way. I have come to realize that my family is a bit on the crazy side, but that is why I love them.

I am beyond grateful I was able to come up and have family time because I ended up having a lot more fun than I expected. This long weekend made me realize how important family reunions really are and are very much worth it.

Biyernes Santo/Prusisyon 2019

Maundy Thursday/Mt.Manabu

Maundy Thursday/Mt.Manabu

For many Filipino families, no matter what religion they have, Holy Week is the time to pause, reflect and spend time with their families.

As for me,we took time to spend our Holy Thursday in taking a hike in Mt.Manabu. It’s just two hours to climb, and the peak area is like a beautiful garden. The highest point is marked with a white cross.

Grass, as if trimmed by a lawnmower, covers the summit area, and there are flowering plants and shrubs with blossoms of yellow, red, and pink. During summer months, wild berries called ‘sampinit’ grow on the trails near the peak. They are edible and sweet, like mini-strawberries. This image of an elegant park is exactly the image of Manabu Peak, probably the easiest, most accessible mountain from Manila. Add the beautiful views of the Malipunyo mountain range, as well as Mt.Maculot and Mt.Makiling, and it’s picture perfect!

Because of its easy access, short trail, and very beautiful environment, Manabu Peak is a great introduction to hiking for beginners. Even then, veteran hikers rank this mountain as one their favorite ‘fun climb’ destinations or as part of a more challenging traverse to Mt. Malipunyo.
