Parade of Lights 2019!

The City Government of Tanauan celebrated its 6th Festival Parade of Lights, an annual and crowd-drawing event, in time for its 434th foundation day as a historic town and 18th Cityhood Anniversary last March 16 The festival draws inspiration from one of the country’s national heroes and city compatriot, Apolinario Mabini. The festival of lights symbolizes the brilliance and principles of Mabini, who was born in this city, as the “Sublime Paralytic” and the “Brain of the Revolution” during the Spanish period.
As early as 6 p.m. last March 16, the festival parade around the city on the artistic designed lights on 19 floats put up by various companies, commercial establishments, hospitals, and organizations. The parade was a combination of festival street dancers and participants was dressed in illuminating costumes and choreographic movements during the competition.Huge crowd of onlookers and visitors attended, motorists are advised on travel advisories due to the parade routes, which started from the commercial hubs along Waltermart, Barangay Darasa, then to Pres. J.P Laurel Highway, traversing toward A. Mabini Avenue and will culminate at the New Tanauan City Hall in Laurel Hill, Barangay Natatas.
The new city hall is the venue of the final performance of the street dance competition and the awarding ceremony, with expected guests from the entertainment industry and showbiz personalities like Patrick Garcia and Mr. Jobert Sucaldito.

But as what I have observed, the participatings floats in this years parade had lessened.Only 19 floats joined unlike last year I think ,30 floats participated including Tanauan Institute. The Parade of Lights 2019 is not as lively compared from the past years of parade.
